Three million people in the United States, or one out of every hundred, have epilepsy. The disorder, which is mostly invisible to the people around them, can impact every facet of their lives and the lives of the people close to them.

ON THE EDGE is the creation of Louis Stanislaw, graduate of the International Film School of Paris (EICAR) and an independent filmmaker; Louis has grown up with epilepsy. His experiences give him an insider's perspective as well as unique access and connection to patients, witnesses, and health care providers who deal with epilepsy issues every day.

Using interviews with patients, their families and friends, and medical specialists, and the filmmaker's own internal perspectives, ON THE EDGE will provide a probing, insightful look at these issues, helping to strip the mystery and fear away from the disorder, bringing a welcome measure of relief and comfort to the millions of people who suffer from it.
